As a child I had both a ‘regimented’ and a ‘railroaded’ upbringing. My Dad was a Sergeant-Major during the Second World War and I had a Grandfather and an Uncle on the railways. So this is a movie where the two come together and therefore I can watch again and again. Also I was so very proud of my Father.
BRAVO ! Congratulations to all those who made this thrilling movie. These were the days when good movies actually had a decent plot. I saw it first when i was 12 and it thrilled me today as much as it did then. Classy !
Being an indian i must accept, that we love the british….
@Mel Plasted people of India are all over the world not just Britain
Yea but the people of India and Pakistan got their own back ,by migrating to britain
No we don’t love British they killed our greatest hero’s like Bhagat Singh rajguru Sukhdev laxmibai Lala Lajpat Rai Khudiram Bose are u fool or what ???
Beautiful visuals and Thrilling warfare and gunfight, very good acting all around. Movies as they should be. The Horse/Train chase scenes are great. Any Railways person would love the scenes.
every good films of aventure, good action
The forefathers of Taliban.
Just send 1 battalion of Sikhs and 1 batallion of Gurkhas they can handle the fanatics.
The Gurkhas been fighting the Taliban for a while now, what are you even talking about???
@arif lodhi it’s your fantasy and distorted history you people fucked up my times that’s why you have faild state.
@sidharth mohanty FYI, East India co. invaded joint India, then population 220 M (All casts), with just 3,000 soldiers.
@sidharth mohanty One of the countries was not a part of undivided India, hence the division.
@arif lodhi
All are interested . There are still 37 battalions of Hindu Gurkhas in Indian Army and 30 battalions of Sikhs proudly serving in Indian Army .
Ask the Mujahideen why Pashtuns are separated in 2 different countries ?? and Who made them do that ??
Um histórico e bom sobre a Índia. Comecei assistir agora, se fosse dublado ou legendado, seria muito melhor. Como não sei inglês, não continuarei assistindo. Deve ser um senhor filme.
That bridge scene — WOW! I thought for sure someone was going to fall, or get pushed. And man-o-man; Lom’s character (with a name that sounds like ben leaden…) made me want to push him off. And that vertiginous view down through those rails! Oh, heck, now Lom has the Maxim!!!
UMA HISTORIA MUITO BOA UM ROTEIRO BEM APLICADO E UM FILME MUITO BOM DEMAIS
This movie also appears under the title: “Flame Over India”. Saw it years ago. Great movie!
How a movie about the British in India turns into a discussion about American empire building…palm to forhead.
Anyway, a troubled time in a troubled country with a very rich and very long history. What this movie does show are very brave and disciplined Indian soldiers fighting just as brave rebels. I would invite people to look up and read about Indian army units that fought in both World Wars. You might be interested in just how good some if them were. Their enemies thought so.
Respect, to them.
There’s a book Called The Indian Army by Boris Mollo highly recommend it!??
One of the best I’ve ever seen on YouTube. The color and clarity were top notch. Can’t believe I never seen that one before. Excellent movie.
The Officer in charge of artillery needs to be replaced. He fires too soon, wasting ammo and not hitting anything.
arif lodhi, hey. That sounds like what DJT did during the protest in washington. Lols….
I saw that. Very frustrating.
He is nervous, being on the war front unlike his superiors taking refuge in bunkers.
@temi… thats super funny matey ! Thumbs up for u !!!
@teml … thats really funny matey !!! Thumbs up !!!
After watching this movie I feel like tea!
I remember watching this movie on pbs back in the day
Good man Gupta!
2020 and the trains are EXACTLY the same!
thank you India for maintaining the tradition
mae chia, lotsa laughs. They’ve no choice. No money….
Politics aside , a cracking good adventure story…..
That Inspector Dreyfuss! You never could trust him!
Absolutely enjoyed this. So refreshing – no swearing, no CGI and lots of TLC. Thanx for posting this.
